Ohio Farm Business Analysis Program Available
Ohio Ag Connection - 03/17/2021

All Ohio farmers have access to the Ohio Farm Business Analysis Program, offered through The Ohio State University Extension.

The program is designed to help Ohio farmers develop in-depth assessments of their operations' financial health. The statewide head of the program is Dianne Shoemaker and she is assisted by six farm business analysis (FBA) technicians across the state.

Marilyn Kamm is the technician who covers Huron and surrounding counties. She has a background of ten years in banking and 22 in the New London Public Schools as head of the Digital Academy, from which she retired in 2018.

Kamm also has many years of farm experience because she still lives on the large grain farm she and her late husband Lauren ran for 36 years.

She says the analysis program could benefit every farmer, whether working with crops, animals or both, and she is available to meet with anyone interested in this process. She can be reached at or 419-681-4982.
